Best way to remove mildew from paint?

I live in a new apartment building which as air-tight insulation. As a result, some condensation built up around one of my windows which allowed a slight amount of mildew to build up around the sill. While I was able to remove the mildew from the metal frame, I have been less successful getting rid of all of it from the painted area next to the window. What's the best way to get rid of the remaining mildew?
