Could it be tonsillitis?

My doc just said I had strep on wednesday. I've been sick since monday morning probably. I don't FEEL sick anymore really. no temperature anymore, not tired, not weak....but my throat and mouth are so sore, i almost want to cry. i have lidocaine and an inflammatory and i take cepacol lozenges all the time. i don't remember strep ever being this bad. do you think it could be tonsillitis instead?
