Is there anyone that knows about housing?

I'm a 17 year old high school senior and I am either going to start college in fall or spring. Most likley spring because i will be 18 by then. I do not want to use the dorms because they are very small (Ohio State Newark). I would like to get an apartment but I am very aware of the expense. I want to know is there like a housing program that could help me. I know i don't qualify for section 8 but is there anything in Newark Ohio that could help me get an apartment 2 bedroom or 1 bedroom perferably 2 because i plan to get a room mate to help out. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me.
